They have very poor customer service. I have been ordering windows from them for a little while now. They don't call you when your item comes in. I called and asked if my window was in and they told me yes. I drove to their store only to have wasted my time and gas money because the window was not there. I don't remember one person even apologizing or anything. They would not refund the item since it was a special order and would not even offer a discount for their mess up. Please do not shop here.

There is a few things that I don't like about Marsh's Lumber and Hardware. Marsh's do have the same amount of selections just like any other hardware store. Marsh's supplier is Do It Best. The main thing that I don't like about Marsh's is the store hours. They are just never open for my convenience. Close at 1:00 pm on Saturdays and closed on Sundays is a big inconveniences for me. What kind of a hardware store closes at 1 pm on Saturdays? I think Sandy's True Value Hardware and Home Center in Nutter Fort closes at 5 pm on Saturdays and 2 Ace Hardware stores in Harrison County, Shinnston and Salem closes at 7 pm on Saturdays. Sandy's and Marsh's both are closed on Sundays, only the 2 Ace Hardware stores in Harrison County, Salem and Shinnston are both open on Sundays and both Ace's are open till 5 pm on Sundays. And for the small engine repair department, Marsh's only repairs lawn and garden equipment thats only sold at Marsh's. If you buy a new mower or a chainsaw at Lowe's, The Home Depot or anywhere else, they won't service them. Sandy's True Value Hardware and Home Center in Nutter Fort, WV and Ace Hardware of Shinnston will service and repair your outdoor power equipment from any place you buy them from. Marsh's have great variety of items, and the employees are helpful but their hours are not convenient for me. They are never open when I have the time to stop at Marsh's. I can't always revolve around hours of different places when my work ours comes first. I'll have to drive to Marsh's on my day off and making special trips is unnecessary. Ace Hardware just opened up Salem this Summer and is close to my home. Ace is more convenient for me. They are open till 7 pm Monday to Saturday and open till 5 pm on Sundays. I will find time to come to Marsh's for emergency or ASAP if Ace or True Value doesn't have it in stock.
Good selection of Stihl products. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly.
